Агрессия у кошек

Поведенческие проблемы, связанные с агрессией, гораздо чаще встречаются у собак, чем у кошек. Однако, по данным различных источников, для сравнительно большого числа владельцев агрессивное поведение кошек представляет серьезную проблему. Так, сообщалось (Olm, Houpt 1988), что при обследовании 100 кошек, представленных по поводу поведенческих проблем, у 25% из них обнаружены признаки неадекватного агрессивного поведения. В другом исследовании агрессия была выявлена в 13% из 179 случаев поведенческих расстройств у кошек (Beaver, 1989). По данным ежегодного доклада Ассоциации консультантов по вопросам поведения домашних животных (Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors, АРВС) за 1999-2000 годы, в 23% случаев поведенческие консультации проводились по поводу агрессии против других кошек (наиболее часто отмечаемая проблема), в 12% — по поводу агрессии против людей (Turner et al., 2000).
