Введение: подготовка к защите диссертации значительно менее продолжительна, чем ее написание, и существенно более длительна, чем сама защита. Недооценить важность этапа подготовки – значит уменьшить шансы на успех всего ответственного мероприятия, требующего огромных трудозатрат. Цель: представить соискателям ученой степени практические рекомендации по подготовке к защите диссертационного исследования. Методы: используются формально-логические методы, методы наблюдения и экспертных оценок. Результаты: выделены основные стадии подготовки к защите диссертации: 1) разработка списка рассылки и рассылка авторефератов; 2) написание текста и тезисов выступления; 3) формирование обзора замечаний, содержащихся в отзывах на автореферат; 4) формулирование системы ответов на замечания из отзывов на диссертацию и автореферат; 5) работа над проектом заключения диссертационного совета. Дана характеристика названных стадий. Автором отмечено, что составление проекта заключения диссертационного совета, предпринятые соискателем (специалистом в определенной научной области) усилия вложить конкретный научный результат в единую надотраслевую форму позволяют критически оценить собственный труд, определить перспективность продолжения исследований после честного ответа самому себе на вопрос о значимости проделанной работы. Выводы: на этапе подготовки к защите диссертации соискателю ученой степени приходится решать сложные вопросы коммуникации в научной среде. Этап не является сугубо техническим, поскольку в процессе подготовки наблюдаются признаки интерактивного взаимодействия автора исследования с представителями научной общественности, сам диссертант познает тонкости этики заочного научного общения.

Introduction: preparations for the defense of a thesis are much shorter than writing it, and significantly longer than the protection. To underestimate the importance of these stages of training – thus reduce the chance to success of important event, which requires a huge effort. Purpose: to represent practical advice on the preparations for the defense of the dissertation research degree candidates. Methods: used formal logical methods, the method of observation, statistical and comparative methods. Results: the basic stages of preparation for the defense of a thesis are: 1) development of mailing list and newsletter synopses; 2) writing of speech and it brief abstract; 3) formation of review comments contained in the reviews on the abstract; 4) formulation of a system of responses to comments from the feedback on the dissertation and abstract; 5) creation the draft conclusion of the dissertation Council. The characteristic of the above stages. The author noted that the creation of draft conclusions of the dissertation Council, undertaken by the applicant (a specialist in a particular scientific field) efforts to invest a specific scientific result in a uniform document, allow to critically evaluate their own work, to determine the prospects of further research after an honest answer to yourself the question of the relevance of the work done. Conclusions: at the stage of preparation for the defense of the dissertation to the applicant’s degree is necessary to solve the complex issues of communication in the scientific community. The stage is not purely technical, because in the process of preparation, there are signs that the interactive experience of the author of the study with representatives of the scientific community, the author learns an important subtlety ethics extramural scientific communication.

Длинный путь, который проходит диссертант от момента утверждения темы исследования до момента получения диплома кандидата или доктора наук можно условно разделить на четыре отрезка: написание и апробацию результатов работы, подготовку к защите, собственно публичную защиту и, наконец, оформление ее результатов.
