When the Lady Rowena came into the hall at last (когда леди Ровена вошла наконец в залу), everyone stood up (все встали). "What is the latest news from the Holy Land?" she asked the Templar.

"Were there any knights (были ли там рыцари) who fought bravely at the side of our King (которые сражались смело на стороне нашего короля = рядом с нашим королем; to fight — драться, сражаться; side — сторона; бок; край; пространство вблизи кого-либо/чего-либо)?" asked Cedric. "Richard is a Norman, of course (Ричард норманн, конечно), but I'll have to forgive him for that (но мне придется простить его за это)."
