"You must have been thinking again," remarked the Tin Woodman.

"I have," said the Scarecrow.

The next morning Dorothy kissed the pretty green girl good-bye (на следующее утро Дороти поцеловала прелестную зеленую девушку на прощание), and they all shook hands with the soldier with the green whiskers (и все они пожали руку солдату с зеленой бородой), who had walked with them as far as the gate (который прошел с ними до ворот). The sun shone brightly (солнце светило ярко) as our friends turned their faces toward the Land of the South (когда наши друзья повернули свои лица к Стране Юга). They were all in the best of spirits (все они пребывали в наилучшем настроении), and laughed and chatted together (и смеялись, и болтали друг с другом).
