Если технологии когда-либо позволят загружать в компьютер сознание, оно окажется в лучшем случае низкокачественным слепком своего носителя. Может быть, этот слепок будет четче, чем воспоминания, которые мы храним друг о друге, или истории, которые тысячелетиями передаются из поколения в поколение; а может быть, он окажется таким же сжатым и схематичным, как пикселированное растровое отображение.
