Вступление

Главная мысль всех пророчеств Библии и истории спасения — это установление Божьего Царства на земле. Священное Писание начинается с сотворенного и потерянного рая (Бытие 1–3) и заканчивается в Новом Завете восстановленным раем (Откр. 21; 22). Избрание Израиля особым народом завета не было самоцелью, но Божьим способом дать народам земли видимое знамение правосудия и мира в грядущем Божьем Царстве. Иисус Христос учил Свою Церковь, Свой новозаветный народ молиться так: «Да приидет Царствие Твое; да будет воля Твоя и на земле, как на небе» (Мф. 6:10). Таким образом, евангельская весть апостолов, являясь логическим продолжением Божьего завета, заключенного с древним Израилем, получила апокалиптическую перспективу.
