Было показано, что при вычислении у одной беременной объема плодово-материнских трансфузий двумя способами в ряде случаев объем плодово-материнской трансфузии, основанный на подсчете фетальных эритроцитов методом Kleinhauer-Betke, бывает больше такового, определенного на основании проточной цитометрии. Одной из причин этого являются ложноположительные результаты при определении фетальных эритроцитов методом Kleinhauer-Betke.
